This is us in front of the famous (for being phallic) and historic water tower of Ypsilanti.
Here's us in the backyard.

Here's Dave and me at Ypsi's own Ladies Library. No, they wouldn't let us in (because it's not open to the public at this time).
So, good times. Today was another long day at the hospital with both a paracentesis (2 liters today) as well as a round of chemo. Was there from 9:00 to 5:45 so basically like a day of work. Boo to that! Feeling slightly off right now but will attempt some dinner none the less.
Currently having a good time with Dave's sister Debbie visiting from Rochester. She's been a great medical resource for us as well as being a good friend and sister - we love having her here.
That's all for now - more soon.
So glad to see you were able to get out; even though you couldn't get into the library. :)
ReplyDeleteSending lots of love & positive thoughts your way!
Thanks for the pics! Dude, I had no idea you had the whole swoopy hairline thing going on! Clearly NOT hairloss from chemo but hidden well by former hairstyle. ;)
ReplyDeleteYou must've gotten home just after Stan walked the boys. He says Carl just goes along...boop dee boo...then there's Felix! But you know that already. Just squirrels & cars yesterday; no UPS truck. How does he feel about the garbage truck? I'm glad you had fun with Darla; I hope she can come out again. Glad Debbie's here too. Wishing you a good week! Love - Jenny & Stan the Dog Whisperer
Perhaps if you had dressed up like the "ladies" on Little Britain you would have made it into the library... hehehe.
ReplyDeleteGlad you were able to enjoy Darla's visit!!!
As always, sending lot of love and hugs your way.

Thanks for posting the pics, David. I'm so glad I got to visit and even more glad that you were able to have some good days and get out of the house and enjoy yourself.
ReplyDeleteHang in there and know that my thoughts are always with you.
love,
Darla
Ladies Library! Really? Do they sell t-shirts with that water tower on it? That's just dirty and I like it! I had no idea Ypsianti thrived on controversy.
ReplyDeleteMr. Cox sent me a link to your blog and CP and I are glad to have it. Be in touch if there is anything you do or don't need from us. I am also a huge, huge fan of Martinis, I never realized you were too.(Hendricks w/a twist for me) We think of you very often. Mike and Chuck
I'm wondering if you're up for a little visit from me. Let me know. I miss you and am thinking of you every day.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Mary C.
