just a quick hello

Check it out, I am finally updating the blog!  I wish I had more to say but things are about the same as they were when we last spoke.  I have been having good days where I bake and cook all day and I have had some bad days where I barely get off the couch.  Dave and I had a very fun time decorating cookies last week and I LOVE the gingerbread cookie with juniper glaze recipe that I got from Amy Beth - very unique and very delicious!

I have some other recipes that I would like to share but that will have to wait for another time.  For now, enjoy whatever time you get to spend with loved ones over the holidays and, as always, have a martini for me!

  2. Your cookies are beautiful! Per your instructions, I enjoyed time with my lovely wife and wonderful children and have consumed the following (in your honor, of course): mimosas, bloody marys, wine, hot buttered rum and single malt scotch. Tomorrow (Boxing Day) shall be martini day (gin deserves a day all to itself).

My thoughts are with you both. Have a very merry Christmas!

  4. Hi my friends!

Both of you have been in my thoughts so much this holiday season. I love seeing all these beautiful cookies - and hearing from Dave how much baking you''ve been doing - good for you!

I hope your holiday has been a lovely and relaxing one. And, that 2011 brings you many days of happiness, love and visits with friends (me included - I'm long overdue!!!)

I know I've been out of touch recently and I'm so sorry for that. I hope you know it's not for lack of love or many thoughts.

Hopefully I'll see you very soon!

    Love and peace,
    Melissa
